silly thoughts but they do have to do with politics so i'll put them under a cut

saw a post being like 'wow shocking that the phantom menace... was RIGHT??? trade wars WILL be a huge part of the global political conversation???' and sorry to be on this beat AGAIN but: once again, prequel trilogy is the fall of the roman republic so once you understand this, it's in fact not shocking at all that it's politically relevant to current events!
