so for absolutely no reason whatsoever definitely not related to the last episode of the mdzs donghua coming out, i wanted to put together a list of jiang cheng+lan wangji fics! i'm absolutely obsessed with their relationship, and what am i here for if not to provide fic recs? i'm going to include both shippy and non-shippy fics. for gen fics, i've tried to include only fics where they respect each other or work together if not actual friendship (which means i didn't include some of my favorite fics with them, where they're much more antagonistic). for ship fics, i've included some hate-sex fics, but i tried to stick with ones that have at least moments of shared understanding. also, for ship fics, i think i remembered to note when they have another pairing (usually jiang cheng/lan wangji/wei wuxian, since a lot of these do have that).

i’ve fallen headfirst into the untamed for the last couple months, so of course i was going to end up doing fic recs!

there’s some ship stuff in here, but mostly it’s gen. i’ve only seen the show and i suspect i’m definitely leaning into show canon fics. these are vaguely organized into groups. also, i’ve tried to avoid some of the fics that i’ve seen recced many other times, so if you don’t see your favorite fic here, that might be why, but also some of the more well known fics were just too good to pass up!
