spoilers!! like really mild ones, it's about a line of dialogue, but it is dialogue from the last 30ish pages

oh my GOD i'm rereading the end of nona now that nic has explained things to me and i reread some of harrow and reread the short story+read the other short story and poked around on the wiki and through the tumblr tag

and i've rediscovered pyrrha's line to cam and pal about "We didn't even do it right...we were children—playing with the reflections of stars in a pool of water...thinking it was space." which threw me for SUCH a fucking loop the first time, bc i was like I KNOW THAT LINE WHY DO I KNOW THAT LINE but i couldn't figure out if it just reminded me of something or was a callback to harrow or gideon, and i'd vaguely guessed callback.

but reading it again, i was CERTAIN i'd read this before in a way where it distinctly had foreshadowing/story emphasis, and i was thinking it wasn't tlt, so i googled it. IT'S FROM THE WITCHER BOOKS!!!!! i feel so much better now lmao. and also i need to know if tazmuir is a witcher fan. idk if it's in the game and can't remember if it's in the show, but it's very NOTABLY in the books.

I'm excited you finished Nona! I also finished it a few days ago and have also been talking to Nic about it :) Tamsyn Muir is obviously a big fan- I know she was active in Final Fantasy and Homestuck fandoms among others, so I would be completely unsurprised to learn she's a Witcher fan as well.

ooh i knew about homestuck but did not know about final fantasy, so yeah, witcher does seem very plausible [thinking emoji]

it was a wild read!!! i'm very glad i reread the ending after figuring out more of what was going on bc frankly the first time through i completely missed. 80% of what happened in the last few chapters haha but now i feel much more settled about it (though obviously i still have Many Questions)
