Qualitative answers

A podfic risk you took this past year well, i think it's time to check back in on last year's wrapup! "i think… i might want to organize a big multivoice project?" CHECK! it was not the one i was thinking of at the time, but and after all… was a big multivoice project i organized and i think personally that it turned out fucking excellently

A way you grew as an editor once again: podtogether! for dungeons & dregs, i did some extremely diy foley and i honestly think it turned out so fucking well. yes i'm counting this as editing because i like, layered them on top of each other and stuff.

A personal favorite of your 2020 works The King of Gotham, which is written as a news article and i tried to turn into an npr-style audio news story. i don't know how well i succeeded but i had a ton of fun doing it.

A fun moment or project once again, time for a check in. from last year's "A current project you're excited about": "frecklebomb, if you're reading this, i PROMISE i'll finish editing a heart just can't contain all this empty space sometime this year!" i DID DO THAT, and it was also great :D

A not so fun moment or project remi i love you, this is not a complaint and you already know about it: the poetry-esque words with big spaces between them as jiang cheng dives underwater in the waves which precede you and which i was so confused about how to say that you had to record me an example and i'm still not sure i got it right [see no evil emoji]

A surprising moment or project be your dreamboat lover and roll the dice was, if i remember correctly, kind of an impulse record? and then i edited it and it was so short that that went very quickly? and then i posted it? it was WILD and that's when i was like, huh short podfic is really good actually

A podfic risk you want to take next i think i'd like to try a real cold read at some point, possibly with commentary? also i'd love to intentionally do a podfic that involves singing lol

A future project you’re excited about check-in on last year again: "the fake podcast!" this did not happen but i'm still excited about it and i think whenever we do this, it will be very very fun. new for this year: a tgcf/mdzs crossover i'm planning to podfic at some point

A current project you’re excited about i have two podfics about jason todd and feelings of autonomy, one of which frecklebomb edited for me! so i just gotta edit the other and they'll be ready to post

most fun project Our Natures, Constant as the Tides was one of the podfics i recorded for CCPA. i knew i wanted to record something for an nk jemisin fandom if possible, and i really love this story. voicing itempas was SO much fun because i had such a strong idea of what he should sound like, and i think i did a pretty good job with it.

least fun project SIGH. so i uh. had recorded a completely different fic for ITPE this year. and then the project got corrupted. and then when i tried to fix it, i somehow deleted the whole file. and then i realized i'd recorded directly into audacity and forgotten to save a raw file, so that project is completely gone. i'm trying to wipe this from my mind because i was REALLY mad at myself about it, but maybe one day i'll do it over again.

project you’re proudest of definitely and after all… because it was my first time organizing a full multivoice, there was music involved, AND it ended up being, even after all my time editing, so funny that i can't listen without laughing. many thanks once again to everyone who participated!!
