this is my second year doing ITPE and i had a ton of fun last year, so i'm excited to jump back in this year :D

podfic-specific likes (i’m definitely not gonna be unhappy if you don’t include any of these. but if you do want to, go for it!)

i get A LOT of visceral secondhand embarrassment when listening to things, so if you record a fic that heavily features this, i will physically cringe through the whole thing (sometimes it’s still good enough to be worth! but maybe do not choose one that has this as a selling point)
(dub-con is fine as long as it’s the ‘everyone is into everything going on but can’t necessarily consent’ version, but i wouldn’t say it’s a selling point for me)

Fandoms and fandom specific things

MDZS/CQL
i have seen the show AND read the novel now and despite having been immersed in this fandom for over a year now, i'm still feeling incredibly feral about it. i really love all the complicated relationships between characters and the focus on what stories get told about people and the parallels between generations. some things i'm especially !!!! about include jzx, the relationship between jc and lwj, the juniors, wwx and the question of what makes somewhere a home, yunmeng siblings, wq being alive because we never saw a body so you can't prove she's dead, post-canon future fic, and stories where people discover a new aspect of another character they thought they understood. this fandom is the majority of my bookmarks at this point, so feel free to dive in. two caveats: i do not care about su she, sorry, i just can't do it. also, i'm happy to listen to ships involving wwx or lwj that are not wangxian, but i don't love stories where wangxian broke up for good or never were in love. (things where it's just not mentioned bc of timing or whatever are fine!)

Critical Role
i’ve watched and loved both campaigns, so go wild with either. i’d love you forever if you recorded some polymachina or poly nein (?) but i also love gen stories too! i’m not super interested in critrole fic purely about one ship, because part of what i love is how interconnected the characters all are, but i am definitely open to pretty much any ship. also happy to listen to AUs here, although i prefer AUs where there is still some magic and like tieflings and elves and such. i would ALSO love you forever if you recorded some Exandria Unlimited, because i cannot believe how attached it got to these losers in just 8 episodes.

DCU
[deep breath] Titans, Teen Titans (2003), Young Justice (cartoon), DCAU, DCEU, Birds of Prey, Dark Knight/Nolanverse, comics (in any mashup you like), honestly i’m happy with any sort of frankenstein-ed canon you like, but i’m not particularly into the DC CW shows
i love the batfam, and any variety of the teen titans, as well as classic justice league/trinity centric stuff. i would extra love stuff about diana & donna troy & cassie sandsmark. i also love midnighter & apollo. i’m not into no capes/superpowers AUs, although a good ‘what if’ story is always welcome. if you go for batfam, i’d love stories that don’t exclude cass and duke from the family, and also would prefer you avoid fics that lessen one robin to build up another one.

Tamora Pierce
tortall and emelan both VERY welcome (although i have slightly more feelings about emelan). i really love the style of humor in tamora pierce’s books, so anything that captures that would be extra great.

Queen’s Thief
It’s Just Good, Y’all. i have a slight preference for gen and irene as main characters over sophos or costis and kamet, but i love them all, and also most of the side characters. maybe not as into an outside POV here as i would be with other fandoms, just since we get that in canon.

Legend of Korra
okay, gonna be honest: every time i’ve tried to search for LoK fic, i’ve given up. so if you have a great lok story that you love, give it to me! i don’t want korra and asami broken up, but otherwise i don’t care if it’s gen or centered on other people/ships. AU or canon all good! as much as i love A:tLA, i’m asking for LoK here, so it’s okay if some of the atla characters are important, but i’d rather have it be /about/ the lok-era characters.

TGCF/Heaven Official's Blessing
GUESS WHAT I READ. i fell down the TGCF rabbit hole HARD in the last month or two, and now i live here. i'm still very much in 'oooh new fandom [heart eyes]' mode, so almost anything is good here. i really love xie lian and hua cheng AND their relationship, but i also almost all of the side characters, and as you may have guessed from my other notes, i love stories about complicated relationships and the different ways people relate to each other, so like: go wild!

The Witcher
i love polyamory and i love found family, and this fandom has BOTH. i've seen the netflix show and read the books. as far as the games go, i just finished the first one, but have not played 2 or 3 (although i have read all of astolat's witcher fic, so it's not like i don't know SOME things about the end of game canon), so i'd request not stories that deal with specific plot points of the second or third game, but anything else is fair play! i don't usually like stories that set out to address a major failing in canon, as i find that it's rare to completely agree on what that failing is, but… i wouldn't hate a story that specifically is trying to push back against the sexism of the books and game, and also the 'romance is required' vibe of the game.

Legend of Fei
i just think it's neat? idk i loved zhou fei so much, and xie yun is a delight and a disaster, and the no braincell trio (yin hecong, li yan, and yang jin) is incredible, and wu chuchu deserves the world, and all the other characters were so FUN.

anything by N. K. Jemisin (The City We Became, Inheritance trilogy, Broken Earth trilogy, Dreamblood duology, Far Sector comics)
over the last three-ish years, i read everything NK Jemisin has written and loved pretty much all of it, so in the off-chance that anyone else is into these fandoms (which are all tiny on ao3), i'd love anything you want to make for them!
